Mr. Kearns, President of Octagon, has dedicated his career to advancing company performance, either as an executive or a professional consultant, to enhance market competitive position, develop strong operational infrastructure, and create partnerships among companies to generate collaborative success. Mr. Kearns has extensive experience helping companies create the right balance of efficiency, effectiveness, and shareholder value creation within and between companies.

Mr. Kearns has delivered P&L success in operations management, client service, marketing, consulting, information management, partnership development, and information technology for over 20 years.

In addition to his work at Octagon, Mr. Kearns’ career encompassed a broad range of business experience. He was one of the founders and senior vice president of The TriZetto® Group, Inc., where he developed the healthcare application service provider (ASP) model that incorporated applications from multiple software vendor partners into a single, seamless solution for customers. He was vice president and general manager at Medaphis Physician Services Corp., where he dramatically improved customer satisfaction and retention while improving margins and revenue by 20%.

Mr. Kearns has also provided professional consulting solutions to large organizations while with Andersen Consulting and Ernst & Young, including information technology, startup company models, and operational improvement.

Mr. Kearns has a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Nevada and a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and chemistry from the University of California.
